Palm Springs, Calif. — THECOOLTV, which KMIR6 (KMIR-TV) added to its KPSE My13 line up on February 8 is already a hit with Coachella Valley viewers.
Seen on KPSE My13 weekdays from 6 to 9 a.m., Saturdays from 5 a.m. to noon, and Sundays from noon to 2:30 p.m., THECOOLTV brings a hot, fresh national music channel to the local market. A new music television network, THECOOLTV is unlike other televised music channels in that it is “hyper-localized,” meaning programming is customized to reflect local demographics, music events and even local artists. THECOOLTV’s expansive video vault includes high-quality programs supplied by major and independent record labels, established and local artists, and content providers. Viewers tuning in to THECOOLTV can expect exciting entertainment including live concerts, music videos, and much more.
The station has singing THECOOLTV’s praise since launching the programming two weeks ago. “KMIR6 has been an institutional brand in the Coachella Valley for 42 years and we are excited to launch this new, vibrant brand of music videos on KPSE My13,” said Vice President and General Manager, Journal Broadcast Group – Palm Springs Operations Lyle Schulze. Both KMIR6 and KPSE My13 are Journal Broadcast Group-owned stations in Palm Springs.
“THECOOLTV is already being highly touted by our viewers who are excited to see ‘old-fashioned’ music videos on TV again,” Schulze added.
THECOOLTV’s CEO, Joe Comparato, said, “We are On — on location, on the web and on TV. We understand that today’s music fans want their music where and when they want it, and that’s what we deliver with strategic broadcast partnerships and unprecedented technical advancements. We attract viewers to our network because of our great content, our ability to be local and leverage the latest technologies to engage the audience.”
THECOOLTV is the newest offering from Cool Music Network, LLC (CMN), a Kansas-based multi-platform entertainment company. CMN remains an undisputed leader in live event recording with on-site mastering for immediate sales of concert CDs, DVDs, and memory sticks.
